Silas Costello is a Foolish Gothic Protagonist moonlighting as a writer, illustrator, museum educator, and historical tour guide.

A multimedia storyteller, his work draws largely upon a fascination with 19th century American history, ghost stories, secondhand objects that have tales to tell, and the memories that settle in forgotten places.

Silas’s work includes award-winning gothic fantasy novel LACRIMORE, and the ongoing webcomic GOING TO WEATHER, a nautical ghost story set on an 1840s whaleship.

When not telling tales in historic spaces, singing sea shanties, or drawing excessively puffy sleeves, Silas can be found watching ships go by in the river and pressing his face to the windows of antique shops.
